The Lofoten Aquarium is situated in Storvågan near Kabelvåg in the Lofoten Islands, in close proximity to the Lofoten Museum and The Espolin Gallery, and on the site of North Norway's first township, Vàgar. Communications are well developed and include an airport and Coastal Steamer docks in the neighbouring town of Svolvær, together with good bus services to and from the rest of the region. Daily ferry links between Svolvær and the mainland.
